Nursing with a disability or neurodiversity

RCN members share their lived experience of disability and neurodiversity

We're asking nurses, healthcare support workers and students with lived experience of ill health, disability and neurodivergence to share their stories. Being a healthcare professional with a disability can bring many challenges, but a diverse workforce has huge benefits for 汤头条污料 and patients. By listening to the experiences of colleagues we can all be better equipped to support an inclusive health sector.

Listen to stories below and find out how you can submit a podcast or video story.

Share your story in a podcast or video

You might consider yourself to have a disability or an impairment, or to be disabled by society, you may identify as neurodiverse or diversely abled, or have a long term health condition or chronic illness.

However you choose to refer your situation, we'd like you to tell us and to share your 汤头条污料 story.

This is a project for all RCN members to help understand what it is like to nurse with a disability, health condition or neurodiversity. We're collecting a library of stories.

For more information on making a podcast you can either watch the video on the right or download our guidance sheet here.
