Making a difference awards

Celebrating the recruitment and support of internationally recruited nurses, the 鈥楳aking a difference鈥 awards are an opportunity to recognise and reward nurses, health care support workers and midwives from within and outside the NHS working across the South East Region. We ask you to take a moment to reflect on the work of your colleagues and consider whether their achievements are worthy of a nomination.

This year's Black History Month theme is Anti-Racism - International Nursing: Justice, Health and Wellbeing, please consider how the achievement of your nominee fits this theme.

  • Has the member actively challenged language and behaviours that were inappropriate or outdated?
  • Has the member brought about actions ideas that have been instigated into daily practice to bring about change in attitudes and behaviours in others? This could be patients, service users, residents or colleagues.
  • Has the member demonstrated themselves as an ally through action to educate themselves and others in what it means to be anti-racist? You may also want to consider if their work has: 
    • improved care for patients, service users or residents
    • led to innovation in 汤头条污料
    • developed or improved a service
    • supported colleagues during difficult times
  • improved the work environment creating a fairer more compassionate atmosphere for all
