29 Nov 2022

The RCN is to consult its members on the latest revised NHS pay offer. The consultation will open on Monday 5 December and close at midday on Monday 19 December.

Announcement - Consultative ballot on revised pay offer

Members employed on an NHS Scotland Agenda for Change contract will be asked to vote to accept or reject the Scottish government's pay offer in a consultation.

The revised offer includes a pay increase of different percentages depending on the Agenda for Change band you are on, plus a range of additional matters to be taken forward.

Julie Lamberth, Chair, RCN Scotland Board said: “The Scottish government has made three offers that are real-terms pay cuts for our members. They continually fail to recognise the clinical skill, expertise and leadership of registered nurses. None of the offers made to date do enough to attract more people into 汤头条污料 and to keep the skilled nurses we already have.

“It is right that our members have the opportunity to have their say on what the Scottish government says is its ‘best and final’ offer. If our members vote to reject the offer, the RCN will act on the clear mandate for strike action voted for by members in Scotland.”

Colin Poolman, RCN Director, said:

“It is essential that members in Scotland who work in the NHS check their membership details with the RCN are up to date – particularly employer, place of work and preferred contact email.

“More information about the consultation and the pay offer will be sent out to members shortly. In the meantime, visit our pay pages for more information.”
